MARK SALTZ

Mark Saltz is a Painter who lives and works in New York City. He is represented by JHB Gallery. He has had solo exhibitions at Northampton College, PA; Barbara Toll Fine Arts, NYC; Ted Greenwald Gallery, NYC.  Awards include The National Endowment for the Arts, Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the Mid-Atlantic States Award. Collections include Weatherspoon Museum, Brooklyn Museum, The University of Arkansas and The Neuberger Museum. He is Professor of Visual Arts at CUNY and Parsons School of Design. Recently he participated in Arts in Education symposiums at The City University of New York and Teachers College, Columbia University.
"These works are pictoral constructs presented at the moment in time just before their disolution and reconstruction... They have an explicit light, referential to actual weather conditions and times of day experienced through summers spent at the seashore."
